We are up to our eyeballs in paperwork that has to be done ASAP, and are praying China approves us so we can officially say he's ours, although our agency doesn't think we'll have any issues. We're looking at 3-4 months of paper work and then 4-6 months until we travel (one trip!) and bring him home. We are praying for this entire process to move as quickly as possible, of course. The good news is, he's in an excellent school for blind children (he is blind in one eye) and they are taking good care of him. He is healthy and learning more (the school teaches English) each day!
The change from Ethiopia to China was easy and hard at the same time. We can move forward with China because we know the families behind us on the Ethiopia list will happily accept the child who would have been ours if we had remained in the Ethiopia program. But we have grown to love Ethiopia over the last three years as we prayed for and focused on that country. We are thankful for the lessons we have learned through the (very long) process and believe this change to China's program is the best for our growing family.
Thank you for supporting us and continuing to pray for us! We will keep you posted on the process!
